SEPTEMBER 19,2017
The special meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order by Mayor Low at 6:08 p.m.
in the Rosemead City Hall Conference Room located at 8838 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California.
PRESENT: Mayor Low, Mayor Pro Tem Ly, Council Members Armenta, Clark
ABSENT: Council Member Alarcon
STAFF PRESENT: City Clerk Donohue
1. PUBLIC COMMENT -None
2. MATTERS FROM MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
A. Interviews and Appointments to the Parks Commission
Reconunendation: Conduct interviews and make appointments to the Parks
Commission.
Interviews for the Parks Commission were conducted in the following order:
1. Raymond Chavira
2. William Tocki
3. Martha Ruvalcaba
4. Chen Lin
5. Phong Vinh Ly
ACTION: Moved by Mayor Pro Tern Ly and seconded by Council Member
Armenta to appoint William Tocki, Chen Lin, and Phong Vinh Ly to the Parks
Commission for a 2-year tern ending on June 30, 2019 and to appoint Raymond
Chavira and Martha Ruvalcaba to a I-year term ending on June 30, 2018. The
motion carried unanimously by the following vote: AYES: Armenta, Clark, Ly,
Low ABSENT: Alarcon
3. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m. The next regular City Council meeting is scheduled to
take place on October 24. 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Rosemead City Hall Council Chamber.
