Bill R. Manis, a former Oversight Board member, has resigned from the City of Rosemead and is
no longer a delegate to the Board. Ms. Gloria Molleda is now the City Manager of Rosemead
and will serve as a new Board Member from this point forward.
Patricia Wallach, who is a representative of the County of Los Angeles Fire Protection District
and served as Chair of the Rosemead Oversight Board, has resigned her seat. There has been no
appointment made for an alternative member. Staff requests the Board to appoint a new Chair as
required by California Health and Safety Code section 34179.
Therefore, the Oversight Board needs to adopt a resolution to confirm the names of all Board
members and confirm the appointment of Gloria Molleda as a Board member and confirm the
appointment of the new Chair.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Oversight Board approve Resolution 2018-002 OB.

A RESOLUTION OF THE OVERSIGHT BOARD FOR THE SUCCESSOR
AGENCY TO THE ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION CONFIRMING THE LIST OF INDIVIDUALS SERVING
AS OVERSIGHT BOARD MEMBERS AS REQUIRED BY HEALTH AND
SAFETY CODE SECTION 34179 AND CONFIRMING THE
APPOINTMENT OF A NEW BOARD MEMBER AND CHAIR
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code section 34179 requires that each
Successor Agency have an Oversight Board; and
WHEREAS, Section 34179 also requires that an Oversight Board transmit the names of
its Chairperson and members to the Department of Finance. The names of the Oversight Board
are:
• Gloria Molleda, Representative of City of Rosemead
• Martin Jones, Representative of City of Rosemead Employees
• Dalila Sotelo, Representative of the County of Los Angeles
• Vacant, Representative of the County of Los Angeles Fire Protection District
• Irene Redondo, Churchward Public Appointee Representative of the County of Los
Angeles
• Joanne Russell -Chavez, Representative of the County of Los Angeles
Superintendent of Schools
• Dr. Richard Storti, Representative of the Pasadena Area Community College
District
NOW THEREFORE, THE OVERSIGHT BOARD FOR THE SUCCESSOR
AGENCY TO THE ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
