RE: REQUEST FROM LEGISLATIVE ADVOCATE FOR FEE INCREASE
Attached for your consideration is a request from the City's Legislative Advocate, Joe Gonsalves,
for an increase in the monthly fee from $2,152.50 to $2,500. This is an increase of$347.50 per
month which represents a 16.1% increase over five (5) years or an average of 3.2% per year.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Rosemead City Council approve the attached request and appropriate
the necessary funds from unappropriated reserves.

In checking our records we find that we haven't had an increase in our fee in the
last five years. We would appreciate your consideration of an increase from the
$2,152.50 to $2,500 per month. Our costs have been increasing steadily, labor,
rent, and visual connections with the Capitol, etc.
I'm sorry about being late with this request so I would appreciate hearing from
you.
