TRIPEPI, CITY MANAGER DATE JANUARY 21, 1998 RE: AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND CALIFORNIA CONTRACT CITIES ASSOCIATION ENERGY DEREGULATION CONFERENCE FEBRUARY 6-8, 1998, TEMECULA Attached for your consideration is information regarding the aforementioned conference. This is a special Energy Deregulation Conference hosted by the California Contract Cities Association. The program will include a full day of sessions on impact of deregulation on franchise fees, street light funding, and the utilities role as an energy advisor. Bob Foster, Vice President of Southern California Edison will give the opening remarks. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council authorize the attendance of any Councilmember, the City Manager and staff designee.
