The special meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order by Mayor Clark at 6:07
p.m. in the Rosemead City Hall Conference Room located at 8838 East Valley Boulevard,
Rosemead, California.
PRESENT: Mayor Clark, Council Members Dang, Low and Ly
ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tem Armenta

Mayor Clark recessed the special meeting at 7:27 p.m. and reconvened back to
Open Session at 7:31 p.m. City Council continued with interviews for three
vacancies to the Planning Commission:

Candidate Diana Herrera waived her interview to announce she would not be
seeking reappointment to the Planning Commission. Mrs. Herrera shared she will
be moving out of the City of Rosemead in the next few months.
The City Council interviewed the following candidates for three vacancies to the
Traffic Commission:
• James Berry
• Edward Quintanilla
• Steven Lim

With the ��ap�oi�tient of James Berry to the Planning Commission, a vacancy
resulted m` it Traffic Commission. Council Member Ly suggested offering the
Traffic Commission vacancy to Candidate Steven Q. Ly. Should Mr. Ly not accept
the offer, the City Clerk will advertise the vacancy.
ACTION: Moved by Council Member Ly and seconded by Council Member Low
to reappoint Edward Quintanilla to a two-year term; and appoint Steven Lim to a
two-year term on the Traffic Commission. In addition, directed the City Clerk to
offer the Traffic Commission vacancy to Steven Q. Ly with a two-year term. In the
event, Mr. Ly did not accept the appointment; the City Clerk shall continue the
advertisement of the Traffic Commission vacancy. Motion was carried out by the
following vote: AYES: Clark, Dang, Low and Ly ABSENT: Armenta

3. ADJOURNMENT
The special meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m. The next regular City Council meeting is
scheduled to take place on July 9, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Rosemead City Hall Council
Chamber.
