SUMMARY
The City Council will consider authorizing the attendance of any Council Member who wishes to
attend AIPAC's 2020 Policy Conference on February 29-March 3, 2020 in Washington, DC.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the attendance, at City expense, of any Council
Member interested in attending AIPAC's 2020 Policy Conference on February 29-March 3, 2020
in Washington, DC.
ANALYSIS
The Expense and Use of Public Resources Policy, adopted by City Council Resolution No. 2005-
47, requires prior City Council approval for out-of-state travel beyond an adjacent state. Funding
for this purpose is contained in the City's annual budget.

I would like to invite you to join us at the 2020 AIPAC Policy Conference in
Washington D.C., to kick start a year of important political decisions.
Thousands of pro-Israel activists, leaders, and communities will come together
in our nation's capital on February 29-March 3.
The four day Policy Conference will be a unique opportunity to re-connect with
former AIEF Latino mission participants and friends.
We will kickoff the conference with our traditional Hispanic Leadership
Welcoming Reception, to be held on Saturday, February 29 at the diplomatic
residence of the Colombian Ambassador of the United States.
We have limited subsidies available to help you cover some of the costs
associated with attending Policy Conference.

Hispanic Outreach Delegates will be eligible for a $500 discount off the registration
fee, bringing the price down to just$99. Apply the code OUT99 in the "promotion

EARLY BIRDS
AIPAC will provide free hotel rooms for up to three nights to those attendees who
register before January 31, 2020. Hotel rooms are offered on a shared basis. We
encourage you to choose your roommate. In order to qualify for this subsidy,
participants should arrive in DC no later than Saturday, February 29, and depart
on Tuesday, March 3 after 4 p.m.
