JUNE 18, 2020
The special meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order by Mayor Armenta at
6:34 p.m., in the Rosemead Community Recreation Center located at 3936 N. Muscatel Avenue,
Rosemead, CA 91770.

Candidate Steve Lopez did not show for his interview before the City Council.
Mayor Armenta recessed the City Council special meeting at 7:46 p.m. and
reconvened back to Open Session at 8:02 p.m.

The City Council continued with Commission interviews with the following
candidates:
• Howard Masuda, Anthony Rios, and Adam Sornoso interviewed for the
Traffic Commission.
• Bryan Mesinas Perez interviewed for the Planning and Traffic
Commissions.
• Michael Vuong, Joe Hua, Steve Leung, Steven Lim, John Paniagua,
Pao Truong, and Billy Truong (teleconferenced) interviewed for the
Planning Commission. .
Mayor Armenta recessed the City Council sp�.-eeting at 9:28 p.m. and
reconvened back to Open Session at 9:35
Mayor Armenta reiterated that each Citi Cbmission had two open seats. She
called for nominations and appointme tis"'to the Beautification"CM6immission.
ACTION: Motion by Council M&mbei Land seconded by Mayor'ro Tem Low
to reappoint Can Liu to a two-year term and appoint Stephanie Garcia to a two-year
term to the Beautification Commission, endir�une 30, 2022. Motion was carried

Mayor Armenta adjourned the special meeting at 10:25 p.m. The next regular
City Council meeting is scheduled to take place on June 23, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., in
the Rosemead City Hall Council Chamber.
