SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 26, 2022
The special meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order by Mayor Low at 6:08 p.m.,
in the Rosemead City Council Chamber located at 8838 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
California.
PRESENT: Mayor Low, Mayor Pro Tem Dang, Council Members Armenta, Clark and Tang
ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Kim, City Attorney Richman, Assistant City Manager Bruckner,
Director of Finance Chau, Director of Parks and Recreation Boecking, Director of Public Works
Chung, and City Clerk Hernandez
1. PUBLIC COMMENT
Mayor Low opened the Public Comment period. There being no comments, she closed Public
Comment period.
2. PRESENTATIONS
A. Administration of the Oath of Office to Sean Dang to Assume the Position of Mayor
Connor Dang administered the Oath of Office to Incoming Mayor Sean Dang.
Incoming Mayor Dang thanked the City Council for their support to appoint him as
Mayor. Thanked his family and supporters during his initial campaign to run for
City Council
B. Administration of the Oath of Office to John Tang to Assume the Position of
Mayor Pro Tern
Hannah and Sophia Tang administered the Oath of Office to Incoming Mayor Pro
Tem John Tang.
Incoming Mayor Pro Tem Tang thanked the City Council for their support. Expressed
appreciation for the support of friends and family. State he had a new admiration for
the leaders that serve their communities.
C. Recognition of Polly Low as Outgoing Mayor
The City Council presented Outgoing Mayor Low a plaque of appreciation for her
service as Mayor from March 2021 through July 2022.
Outgoing Mayor Low thanked the City Council, City staff, and her supporters for
their support during her tenure as Mayor.

Council Member Armenta and Council Member Clark thanked Outgoing Mayor Low
for her service as Mayor. Commended Incoming Mayor Dang and Incoming Mayor
Pro Tem for their ongoing leadership and wish them a successful tenure as Mayor
and Mayor Pro Tem.
3. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Dang adjourned the special meeting at 7:20 p.m. to a reception. The next City Council
regular meeting took place on July 26, 2022, at 7:40 p.m. in the Rosemead City Hall Council
Chamber.
