SUBJECT: DISCUSSION REGARDING THE CREATION OF AN AFFORDABLE
HOUSING SUBCOMMITTEE AND A HOMELESSNESS
SUBCOMMITTEE
SUMMARY
At the January 10, 2023, City Council Meeting, Mayor Pro Tem Ly requested that an item be
brought forward at a future meeting to discuss the creation of two subcommittees: an Affordable
Housing Subcommittee and a Homelessness Subcommittee.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council discuss and provide further direction to City staff.
ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS
The proposed action does not constitute a project under the California Environmental Quality Act
("CEQA"), and it can be seen with certainty that it will have no impact on the environment. As
such, this matter is exempt under CEQA.
