SUBJECT: DISCUSSION REGARDING CHIEF OF POLICE AND LAW
ENFORCEMENT CONTRACTED SERVICES
SUMMARY
At the January 24, 2023, City Council Meeting, Mayor Pro Tem Ly requested the City Council
discuss the Chief of Police position and the law enforcement contracted services to ensure services
are utilized to address public safety issues.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council discuss and provide further direction to City staff.
ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS
The proposed action does not constitute a project under the California Environmental Quality Act
("CEQA"), and it can be seen with certainty that it will have no impact on the environment. As
such, this matter is exempt under CEQA.

None.
