C.E.R.T. TRAINING IS COMING TO Rosemead - SIGN UP NOW!
The County of Los Angeles Fire Department is proud to present this training to the public.
Following a major disaster, police, fire and medical professionals may not be able to fully meet the demand.
People will have to rely on each other to meet the immediate life saving and life sustaining needs,
particularly in isolated neighborhoods that may be cut off from the main roads for a period of time.
The County of Los Angeles Fire Department Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) Program
was developed to provide basic training in safety and life saving skills for the general public.
ROSEMEAD RESIDENTS:
Learn from the experts on how to prepare for a major disaster. Free CERT course consists of three, seven-
hour sessions. Complete the course for CERT certificate.
The course curriculum will cover the following modules:
Disaster Preparation CERT Organization
Fire Safety & Utility Controls Disaster Psychology
Disaster Medical Operations-Part 1 Terrorism and CERT
Disaster Medical Operations-Part 2 Course Review, Final Exam and Disaster
Simulation
Light Search and Rescue
The training course will be presented as a series of three Saturday classes
May 6, 13, and 20, 2023
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
