SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION TO CANCEL THE MAY 23, 2023, CITY COUNCIL
MEETING
SUMMARY
The Mayor and two Council Members will be attending the International Council of Shopping
Centers (ICSC) in Las Vegas, Nevada, from May 21 to 23, 2023. The next regular City Council
meeting is scheduled for May 23, the same day the Mayor and two Council Members are due
back from the conference. Since most Council Members will be traveling that day, the City
Council will consider the cancellation of the May 23, 2023, City Council meeting due to lack of
quorum.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council cancel the May 23, 2023, City Council meeting due to lack of quorum.
FISCAL IMPACT - None
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The proposed action does not constitute a project under the California Environmental Quality
Act ("CEQA"), and it can be seen with certainty that it will have no impact on the environment.
As such, this matter is exempt under CEQA.
STRATEGIC PLAN IMPACT - None
