SUMMARY
The City Council will consider authorizing the attendance of the Director of Parks and Recreation
who wishes to attend the 2023 National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) Annual
Conference in Dallas, Texas, from October 10, 2023, to October 12, 2023.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Director of Parks and Recreation attendance
at the 2023 NRPA Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas, from October 10, 2023, to October 12,
2023.
ANALYSIS
The Expense and Use of Public Resources Policy, adopted by City Council Resolution
No. 2005-47, requires City Council approval for out-of-state travel beyond an adjacent state.
Funding for this purpose is contained in the City's annual budget.
