2. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. Approval of Minutes
CEQA: Not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
Recommendation: That the Parks Commission approve the regular meeting minutes of
October 3, 2023.
3. MATTERS FROM STAFF
A. Garvey Center Update
Roman Rodriguez, Recreation Supervisor, and Janette Vicario, Recreation Coordinator will
present information regarding the Garvey Center which will include all programs and
activities that are offered at the facility.
CEQA: Not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
Recommendation: That the Commission receive and file the report.
B. Sally Tanner Park, Klingerman Park, and Guess Park Amenities
Tom Boecking, Director of Parks and Recreation, will outline current amenities at Sally
Tanner Park, Klingerman Park, and Guess Park. The Parks Commission will discuss
possible new amenities that can be added to these parks.
CEQA: Not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
Recommendation: That the Commission receive and file the report.

C. Memorial Bench, Tree, and Garden Program Nominations
Tom Boecking, Director of Parks and Recreation, will present two nominations for the
Memorial Bench, Tree, and Garden Program.
CEQA: Not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
Recommendation: The Parks Commission will support the nominations and make a
recommendation for approval to the City Council.
D. Monthly Parks & Recreation Department Review
Tom Boecking, Director of Parks and Recreation, will review a monthly report from the
Department.
CEQA: Not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
Recommendation: That the Commission receive and file the report.

The next regular Parks Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 5, at 7:00 pm in
the Council Chambers.
