Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a patrol check of RD 0534• During the patrol check,
Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted an inquiry of a license plate of a vehicle. The inquiry
revealed the vehicle had an expired registration as Of 2023, however the vehicle displayed a
2024 registration tab. After the traffic stop, Rosemead SAO Deputies discovered the
registration tab belonged to a license plate previously reported stolen from the city of Covina.
The driver was arrested for misuse of registration tab (violation of 4463(a) CVC) and receiving
stolen property (496(a) PC). The passenger of the vehicle had an outstanding felony warrant
for driving a stolen vehicle. The passenger was arrested for the felony warrant.

Rosemead SAO Deputies are in preparation of two upcoming operations.
Rosemead SAO Deputies are conducting a probation operation and a retail theft operation
closer to the end of the month.

SAO team members adjust schedules to work daytime and evening operations based on crime trends.
SAO team members review crime reports (SH -R-49) to identify the latest crime trends for the city of
Rosemead.

SAO team members conducted numerous, ongoing patrol checks throughout the city actively seeking
and deterring criminals/criminal activities.
SAO team members assisted code enforcement with aiding homeless individuals throughout the city
by offering information on shelter services and other outreach programs.
SAO team members continuously moved the decoy police vehicle throughout the city of Rosemead.
The decoy police vehicle has been strategically placed at various business locations throughout the
city to help deter crime.
The decoy police vehicle continues to help prevent overnight commercial burglaries. The vehicle has
been strategically placed in areas where crime trends are occurring.

Rosemead SAO Deputies contacted the manager at Xiang Ji BBQ and Seafood followed up and
discussed recent vehicle burglaries in the business parking lot. Rosemead SAO Deputies
discussed ways and tips on how to prevent vehicle burglaries.

Due to recent resident concerns of individuals coming out of the railroad tracks, the Rosemead
SAO Deputies continue to conduct patrol checks near Grand Avenue along the train tracks.
Union Pacific was contacted regarding the damage/vandalism on the fence line north of 5045
Earle Avenue in Rosemead. A work order number (2024-05-18-026) was generated and a
follow up by a Union Pacific officer is estimated to be a few weeks to a few months.
The openings of the black metal fence line cannot be updated due to access to the electrical box
nearby for conductors/electrician and for emergency purposes. However, the damaged fence
line on 5045 Earle Avenue will be fixed.

Rosemead SAO Deputies participated in a training course for Tactics and survival at TAS 1
firearm Laser Village (an unoccupied building used by Law Enforcement Officers for training).

Rosemead SAO Deputies participated in a monthly area watch meeting. During the meeting,
crime trends and preventions were discussed. The residents discussed their concerns and were
addressed.

Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted patrol checks the area of Grand Avenue and Muscatel Ave
in the city of Rosemead. Rosemead SAO Deputies checked vehicles and cited several for
various CVC violations.

Rosemead SAO Deputies monitored traffic on Valley Avenue and Walnut Grove Avenue and
conducted several traffic stops of speeding vehicles. Rosemead SAO Deputies cited the drivers
for various CVC violations.

Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted an overnight suppression. Several speeding citations were
issued, and two individuals were arrested. Zero burglaries were committed that night.
UPDATED PAST ARRESTS / CONVICTIONS
Rosemead SAO Deputies arrested a suspect who vandalized, burglarized and trespassed "Double Tree
hotel' on 11-20-23 was recently sentence to state prison.
