Due to residents concerns of possible criminal activity in the vicinity of Grand Avenue and Ivar
Avenue, Rosemead SAO Deputies are continuously conducting patrol checks. Rosemead SAO
Deputies observed two suspicious individuals inside a parked vehicle on Grand Avenue.
Rosemead SAO Deputies noticed they became alarmed and startled upon noticing a black and
white marked patrol vehicle approaching. Rosemead Deputies noticed the front passenger of
the vehicle immediately exited and ran towards the railroad tracks and out of view.
Simultaneously, the parked vehicle drove off. Rosemead SAO Deputies conducted a traffic stop
of the vehicle.
We later discovered the front passenger of the vehicle is an active "Sangra" gang member
located in the Rosemead / San Gabriel area. Upon further investigation, the front passenger of
the vehicle had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. The driver of the vehicle also had
an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest for possession of narcotics and a firearm.
While conducting a search of her vehicle, narcotics were discovered inside the glove
compartment of her vehicle. The driver was arrested for her outstanding felony warrant and
narcotics charges. A BOLO was sent out to all Rosemead SAO and patrol deputies for the front

Rosemead SAO Deputies along with Major Crimes Bureau are working on an upcoming retail
theft operation which will also include a bait package consisting of an iPad and cell phone
during the operation.
Rosemead SAO Deputies are working on a Homeless Outreach Operation where Rosemead
SAO Deputies along with the LASD HOST Team, Code Enforcement and LA CADA will contact
populated homeless encampments throughout the city of Rosemead and offer services along
with enforcing violations.
Rosemead SAO Deputies are working on a Probation Operation along with the Los Angeles
County Probation Department for the end of the month.
DAILY OPERATIONS
SAO team members adjust schedules to work daytime and evening operations based on crime
trends.
SAO team members review crime reports (SH -R-49) to identify the latest crime trends for the
city of Rosemead.

SAO team members conducted numerous, ongoing patrol checks throughout the city actively seeking
and deterring criminals /criminal activities.
SAO team members assisted code enforcement with aiding homeless individuals throughout the city
by offering information on shelter services and other outreach programs.
SAO team members continuously moved the decoy police vehicle throughout the city of Rosemead.
The decoy police vehicle has been strategically placed at various business locations throughout the
city to help deter crime.
The decoy police vehicle continues to help prevent overnight commercial burglaries. The vehicle has
been strategically placed in areas where crime trends are occurring.

During routine patrol, Rosemead SAO deputies detained a female Hispanic for riding a bicycle
at night without lights, violation 212o1(d)(1) CVC. The female also had ties with a large
organize gang from the city of Duarte known as "East Side Duarte." During the contact,
Rosemead SAO deputies located a switch blade on her person and subsequently placed under
arrest for violation 21510 (b) P.C. Possession of a switchblade.

Rosemead SAO Deputies were subpoena and testified at court on an incident that occurred
earlier in the month that involved Rosemead SAO deputies in a foot pursuit and discovered a
firearm and several other contrabands. The suspect was held to answer for several gun related
charges and identity theft. The suspect is currently facing up to five years in prison.
