SUBJECT: RELEASE OF BONDS -TRACT MAP 53650

SUMMARY
A Cash Deposit of $16,000 was requires}, to guarantee the remaining work of new curb
and gutter, sidewalk, roadway, driveways, mainline sewer and laterals, water main and
services, street lights and centerline monuments for Tract Map 53650.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the public improvements and release the
Cash Deposit.
ANALYSIS
In accordance with the Conditions of Approval for Tentative Tract Map No. 53650
approved by the Rosemead Planning Commission on March 3, 2003, the subdivider is
required to construct new curb and gutter, sidewalk, roadway, driveways, mainline
sewer and laterals, water main and services, street lights and centerline monuments
subsequent to recordation of the tract map. On February 13, 2008 the City Council
released a Faithful Performance Bond of $200,000 and a Labor and Material Bond of
$100,000 and took a $16,000 of Cash Deposit instead for the remaining work. The City
Engineer has inspected the remaining improvements and found them to be satisfactory.
